Primary Therapist and Practice Owner
In 2010 I began an internship as a victim advocate working for UNC and later that year began working at an acute mental health treatment facility in Greeley Colorado. In 2013 I moved to Denver to begin my masters degree, during that time I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings working with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety, and I have spent time working with displaced/homeless youth. I provide a safe and comfortable place for you to create the changes you need for personal growth.
I obtained my masters in Clinical Counseling through Regis University right here in Denver as well as being an active member of my chapters honors society. I obtained my bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Northern Colorado.
As a therapist, I have an integrative approach which allows me to modify my treatment approach based on my clients needs. One treatment model aims to create meaningful experiences by encouraging the client to be more active in their therapy sessions through the use of activities. The other modality is used to help those suffering from deep seeded concerns, typically from grief or traumatic experiences from the past, and tends to be more talk based. I also use techniques found in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) when I feel my client can benefit from these approaches.
